Praying For Your Marriage Today

Praying for our marriage is so important. Honestly, whether we are married yet, or not. We can be praying for our marriage in the future as God is preparing our hearts to be woven together with our future husband. There is such an attack on marriage and we need to protect this beautiful gift that He has presented us with.

Always remember, marriage is about being on the same team.

Thank You, Jesus, for my husband. Help me to choose to see him through your eyes. Show me the gold in my husband today and help me to speak it to him as encouragement... even, and especially, when I'm feeling offended or experiencing unmet expectations.

You can fill every need I have.

No matter what happens during the day, we get to come home to each other. When I stop and think about this, I realize how incredible it really is. Lord, You have given us something truly amazing together.

We don't deserve it, but we thankfully receive it as a beautiful and priceless gift from You.

You've shown us that we're on the same team. We don't need to compete against one another or keep score. Instead we can fight with each other, arm in arm, against what the enemy throws our way.

Jesus, help us to stay out of our flesh, thought at times it may be screaming. Help us to see the situation from Your perspective.

This takes discipline. We can't do it on our own, but with Your help, we can do what you are asking us to when it comes to loving one another.

Help us to see the balance of partnering with You to do this with You and not in our own strength.

Give us the words to say and the timing in which to say them.

Let us not miss the opportunities You're presenting us with to serve You by encouraging one other.
