Dangerous Prayer: Mature Experience

Lord, let us move on to a mature experience with You.

Lord, bless our journey to spiritual maturity.

Yes, that prayer will shake things up.

If we truly want to get to the point of a mature experience with our Savior, we're going to have to go through some stuff.

• We are going to learn how to process pain, meaning we will have to feel it.

• We are going to learn how to have difficult conversations, meaning we will have them - lots of them.

• We are going to learn how to be compassionate, meaning we are going to see people go through some hard times.

Maturity doesn't just happen.

Experience doesn't just happen.

These are things we gain from going through storms and leaning into Him deeper, closer, honest and raw. It's about asking the tough questions, and then opening our heart to hearing the answers.

He has the answers.

He provides us all that we need just when we need it. He knows better than we do what those needs are.

So, Jesus, as we pray this dangerous prayer, open our hearts to new experiences. Open our eyes and ears to the experiences of others.

Let us listen without judgement and learn without bias.

Let us hope always in You and develop a deeper intimacy as we pursue the purpose you have for our lives.
